PREFAZIONE ALLA PRIMA EDIZIONE<\/strong><\/em>
\nNella mia carriera di tecnico ho sempre ammirato le case editrici degli Stati Uniti, che forniscono innumerevoli pubblicazioni di livello per ogni campo della scienza. Notevole \u00e8 stato per il contributo di testi, diventati pietre miliari anche per noi italiani, nel campo dei motori a scoppio.
\nQuesto \u201cElementi di progettazione del motore\u201d di Daniela Vignocchi giunge ad arricchire le pubblicazioni in lingua italiana, che sono purtroppo spesso carenti, per numero e attualit\u00e0.
\nVa ricordato come il motore a scoppio sia oramai in uso da molto tempo e si sia evoluto, adeguandosi alle pi\u00f9 moderne tecnologie in continuo sviluppo.
\nL\u2019autrice nasce come progettista nell\u2019epoca della progettazione assistita da computer, ed ha voluto introdurre in questo suo volume gli elementi di pratica definizione dei componenti del motore. Tali indicazioni di metodo e di scelta sono rivolte a tecnici ed ingegneri alle prime armi, cos\u00ec come ai pi\u00f9 smaliziati tecnici, per facilitare il difficile compito della prima stesura del progetto. Il progettista viene condotto alla prima progettazione di massima per ridurre i tempi della accurata finale definizione. Il capitolo sulla progettazione delle bielle \u00e8 quello pi\u00f9 accurato e ricco e pone a confronto le tecnologie oggi in uso negli uffici tecnici con le analisi critiche del caso.
\nDobbiamo per questo essere grati a Daniela Vignocchi, che pur essendo giovane tecnico, ha voluto darci un utile volume di corretta e aggiornata informazione.
